PROJECT!!

This is drawing number one for a project I've given myself. I'm going to try to make a bunch of drawings of different cityscapes from around the area up here in Pittsburgh, this one is in my current backyard. Then I'm going to try to get them displayed in a gallery that's opening up down the street, they have a little flyer out at different places saying they're interested in looking at local artist's work. It dosen't seem like the ritziest place in town but it's something to try for. I'm also working on a couple of stories that I would like to illustrate and get published, I'm looking aroud online for publishers but would like to get a nice little chunk of the artwork done for the books before I reach out to anywhere. Is that a good idea? I don't know. Any advice is most welcome and much appreciated.

The Battle Rages On!!

This picture I drew of what I imagined Luke Skywalker might look like ten years or so after "Return of the Jedi." I hear that the comics have continuity where Luke turns to the darkside and is killed, but F all that. Luke is one of the goodguys and in my opinion is out there somewhere right now "a long time ago" and kicking the ass of the remains of the empire and other scumbags throughout the galaxy, while at the same time rebuilding the Jedi order etc. and being awsome. Han's cool too. But Boba Fett stays dead even though he's awesome, he fell into the mighty sarlacc pit. kind of a crummy way to go for a cool character but it just wasn't his day.

ROCKIN ROBIN!! tweet tweet!

I drew this picture sitting on my back porch, a bird peaked over the side of the neighbors house and it was cute how he did it so inquisitivly and than made a little song note and walked away. i got sick later from sitting in the sun and drawing this though.

His Face Is On The Case!

I really like the way Jamar Nicholas draws and his character Detective Boogaloo is really fun, i liked drawing him a lot. If you see this Jamar i hope it's okay that i put this up without asking you permission first.

THE MAN WHO PLANTED TREES!!

I saw this cartoon once a long time ago and loved it but I never got to see what it was called and than recently I found this image randomly somewhere online and well...that's the whole story but I was so excited to find it!

Look, I kinda like Hall & Oates...sue me.

though not inspired from their seminal hit "Man Eater" the song is a total classic, I saw them down at the Meadowlands in '85 and they kicked ass!! No just kidding but perhaps you'll agree that my illustrated version of a maneating beast raises it's own sturdy item of footcovering and strikes out with a multitude of vigor toward at least the most minuscule of derriere!

Learn chinese from fortune cookies.

I've had an affinity for winged lions and lamassu since I took art history in college. I guess I just think they're neato.

A wretched "hive" of scum and villiany...and latte's.

My roomate Josh and I often hang out at a cafe called the beehive. We take full adavantage of their free wireless internet offer. So far it seems to be free whether you're a paying customer or not, i try to get at least a soda, which Pittsburghians call "pop" or a 25 cent chocolate fortune cookie. Usually we'll bring our sketchbooks. When the first nice day of spring had spranged we sat out on our front stoops (that's right...stoops, as in two stoops, that's how we roll) and drew one another.

Go Powerlords, GO!

I vaguely remeber having this guy as an action figure when I was little. His name is Lord Adam Power, from a videogame and toyline called "Powerlords." The toy looked like your average joe in an orange spacesuit but when you press a button on the back his upper body would flip around as a sort of morhping effect and Adam Power was now...blue and shirtless with all kinds of red veins covering his chest and arms. So yea, he's cool. A cool 80's toy.
