Today on "This Weird House"

This was fun to do. It gave me so many more ideas for my story too. I love when a sketch or a drawing becomes a breakthrough to a new idea.

The Boys Are Back in Town!

I've come close to finishing my comic "The Birdwatcher," where these characters appear. They originated as a couple of paper mache' masks I made for an unrealized photo project. I came up with the concept for Birdwatcher and needed an antagonist or two and so created these two. They are actually the subject of my first blogger post i believe. Anyway, I've come up with another scenario for these guys to be used in another story in which they are the main characters. I was inspired by Ralph Mcquarrie who did a lot of design and concept work for the original Star Wars Trilogy. The man's amazing, if you don't know already check his stuff out at his website www.ralphmcquarrie.com

More Human Than Human

This is a quick painting i did of an android that seemed like it would make a pretty neat book cover. I think I'll write a sci-fi story based on it. I was looking at old pulp science fiction magazine covers and felt inspired.

Sketchjazz!

Bonaia and I have been doing some pretty fun watercolor/ink sketches where she'll do a watercolor figure sketch and I'll fill in the details with ink or vice versa. These sets are ones I inked and Bonaia sketched. The bottom pair are inspired by "Blade Runner," and "Star Wars."
